HOLLY SPRINGS, North Carolina -- A controversial development in Wake County has been rejected.

Developers wanted to build hundreds of homes on 50-acres of land near N.C. Highway 55 and Avent Ferry Road.

Residents complained that the area was already too full of traffic.

Holly Springs is one of North Carolina's fastest growing towns.
