Candidate forum scheduled for Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Friends of the Downtown have announced a candidate forum on Thursday, August 31 as a kick-off event for the election season.

Town Council challengers, incumbents and the Mayor will have two minutes to introduce themselves followed by a question from the moderator and a related follow-up question from the audience.

If time permits, the moderator will ask the candidates a second question with an audience follow-up question.

The event will start at 9:30 a.m. on the second floor of the Franklin Hotel.
