Authorities capture escaped prisoner in Johnston County

BENSON, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Law enforcement teams have captured an escaped prisoner in Johnston County.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said 23-year-old Daroyl Little Jr. - a minimum custody inmate - was last seen around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning at Greene Correctional Institution.

Little is serving a sentence for habitual felony breaking and entering. His projected release date was November 2018.

Authorities said he was found around 10:30 a.m.
