In July, ABC1 reported the first death when the outbreak came to light.

The CDC reports two deaths, 67 hospitalizations, and 210 cases in 24 states, including North Carolina.

Officials said 'Caribena' brand Yellow Maridol papayas from four farms in Mexico could be contaminated with salmonella.

The outbreak has hit mostly Hispanic communities.
