RALEIGH (WTVD) -- With Halloween right around the corner, Nextdoor, the neighborhood social network, is out with its national ranking for best cities to trick-or-treat in and Raleigh ranks third.

Nextdoor says it analyzed data from the tens of thousands of people that use its annual Treat Map feature to create the top 10 list.

In 2015, Cary ranked number one, but slid completely out of the top 10 this year.

Nextdoor says if Raleigh wants to hold on to its #3 spot, it's a good time for neighbors to ensure their homes are added to the Treat map so little goblins and ghouls know which houses to visit to score some sugary treats.

The map allows neighbors to mark their home with a candy corn icon to let neighbors know they'll be giving out candy. For those hosting a haunted house, there is an option for that as well.
