FRANKLINTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Franklinton mayor is asking for resident's help Sunday morning.

Residents might be waking up to low water pressure or even slight discoloration. That's because sometime overnight the town's water system completely emptied.

The mayor told ABC11 he believes a water main break is to blame, so he is asking for residents to be on the lookout.

If you notice water flowing someplace unusual, you are asked to contact the town hall so they can check it out.

The town is having samples of their water tested Sunday, and will rescind the boil water advisory as soon as possible.

The mayor is also urging residents not to do any outside burning.

The town is also under a fire hazard precaution warning because of the reduced water supply, so the water needs to be conserved for emergencies.
