Time Warner Cable responded to reports of internet outages in central North Carolina on Saturday.
At the peak of this week's winter storm, more than 200,000 Duke Energy customers had lost power. Many in the viewing area have had their power restored, but are still without internet service.
A majority of outages are related to power, according to Time Warner's Director of Public Relations, Scott Pryzwansky. He said Time Warner Cable crews are on the scene to make repairs and restore service.
If both power and cable lines are down, Time Warner works closely with the power company.
"In many instances, we follow them into a neighborhood and as soon as power is restored, we begin work to restore service as quickly as possible," said Pryzwansky.
Pryzwansky could not share customer outage numbers because there are too many variables. For instance, he said many customers may have power but not service and vice versa.
