Crews battle barn fire near Wake Forest

Firefighters worked to contain a smoky barn fire Monday afternoon on Averette Road in Wake Forest, which is just north of N.C. Highway 98.

There were reports of animals trapped inside the building at one point.

It is unclear whether all of the animals were rescued.

There's no word yet on what sparked the blaze.
