7-year-old airlifted to Duke Hospital after Moore Co. wreck

MOORE COUNTY, N.C. -- A 7-year-old child was airlifted to Duke Hospital after a serious crash in Moore County on Friday.

It happened at the intersection of 15-501 and Kelly Road near Carthage, officials said.

Our crew on the scene said a car turned onto Kelly Road right into the path of another car.

After the crash, the child was airlifted to Duke Hospital. The child's name has not been released.

The Highway Patrol is investigating. No charges have been filed yet.
