FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Hundreds of people lined up for the first few hours of a two-day Rooms To Go job fair in Fayetteville Tuesday.

The company is hiring for roughly 200 positions based in their new Dunn distribution and showroom center, located off Interstate 95 in Harnett County. The $40 million facility is set to open late this summer.

From 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday in Fayetteville, RTG is hiring for warehouse, sales, management and other office positions.

Applicants are being interviewed, and in some cases hired on the spot, at the Residence Inn. The hotel is located at 1468 Skibo Road.

Management estimated more than 200 applicants had arrived before 11 a.m.

"They were lined up when we got here," said Elliot Kalick, an Atlanta-based VP of Sales for the company. "We opened the doors early."

Kalick said applicants should bring their resumes and fill out applications on-site. Since hiring managers are present, the on-site applications will be processed more quickly than submitting them online, he said.
