CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Johnston County Sheriff's detectives arrested a woman Tuesday charged with killing a man Sunday.

Authorities arrested Annie Marie Artis, 42, and charged her with murder for killing Derrick Lester Williams. Artis is being held in the Johnston County Jail without bond.

Deputies responded to a call on Slate Top Road near Clayton early Sunday morning where a party was being held at "The Sugar Shack." Derrick Williams was found lying in the yard shot multiple times.

"Detectives have worked tirelessly on this murder investigation which is ongoing, with the possibility of additional arrests," said Sheriff Steve Bizzell.

Wilson's Mills police had arrested Williams on May 2 after he reported that 18-year-old Moesha Lockamy had been shot while they were playing with a gun.
