Fayetteville man charged with voter fraud

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Friday that its detectives working with investigators from the State Board of Elections have charged a Fayetteville man with voter fraud.

Investigators said Jason Wilton Wetzel, 70, moved to North Carolina from Georgia when his job with the military was transferred to Fort Bragg.

Detectives allege Wetzel voted in both states in the 2012 primary and general elections. He's also accused of voting in both states in 2014.

Wetzel was booked into the Cumberland County jail and released on bond. His next court date is later this month.
