Fayetteville man wanted in hatchet attack

A Fayetteville man armed with a hatchet allegedly assaulted his roommate Sunday morning.

Police say Ryan Green, 33 years old, assaulted a female at his home on the 7200 block of Ryan Street and then attacked his roommate with a hatchet.

The roommate received a laceration to his back and was driven to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment where he is currently listed in good condition. His injury is not considered life threatening.

Police are now attempting to locate Green who has been charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon intent to kill inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.
