Chapel Hill daycare employees charged for leaving toddler in hot van
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Chapel Hill Police filed charges on Thursday after a toddler was left in a daycare van on one of the hottest days of the year.
Operation New Life owner Michael Cureton and employees Dreama Caldwell and Rosa Brigman are each charged with felony child abuse.

The state shut down the daycare last month. The Department of Health and Human Services said 2-year-old Karah Evans was left on a bus for about six-and-a-half hours while temperatures spiked to 100 degrees on June 16.
Karah spent the night in the hospital. Karah's mom, Kimberly Cates, was the one who reported the incident to authorities.
Cates filed a police report with authorities after administrators begged for her not to go to the authorities.
Cates told ABC11 the administrators were bombarding her with bribes. Cates said they offered to waive daycare fees and pay for medical expenses in exchange for silence.
