Durham motorcycle deputy struck by vehicle

A Durham County Sheriff's deputy with the motorcycle unit was injured Tuesday while escorting a funeral procession.

The deputy's motorcycle was struck by a driver who failed to stop as the procession traveled through the intersection of Perry and Broad streets.

He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed and the Durham Police Department is still investigating the incident.
