Durham police investigate shooting near Hillside High School

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating after shots were fired near Hillside High School on Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting reportedly happened around 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a convenience store on Fayetteville Street and Cook Road.



School officials said the high school was never put on lockdown and the students were not in danger.

Police are looking for the suspects who fled in a vehicle. Officers have not said if anyone was injured in the shooting.
