Fire destroys Durham home; firefighter injured

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed a family's home early Saturday morning.

It happened around 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Newberry Lane in the Grove Park subdivision.

No one was home at the time, however a firefighter injured his foot on scene and is being evaluated.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
