First Citizens Bank on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville robbed

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville authorities are searching for a bank robbery suspect this afternoon.

The robbery happened around 1 p.m. Friday at the First Citizens Bank on the corner of Ramsey Street and Law Road.



Police said there were no reports of a weapon being used. There is also no information on the amount of money stolen.

A suspect description is expected shortly, as a heavy police presence remains around the bank.
