LOUISBURG (WTVD) -- A former Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested after law enforcement agents raided his business Tuesday following a three-month undercover investigation.

Richard Bryan Shearin of Louisburg is in custody for allegedly selling and receiving stolen firearms and property at his business, K&R Enterprises Gun and Pawn Shop, at 348 South Bickett Blvd. in Louisburg. Authorities also allege Shearin knowingly sold firearms to felons.

The case remains under investigation and additional charges are expected.

Shearin served as a deputy at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office from Oct. 1, 2005, to Jan. 22, 2008.

He is being held at the Franklin County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.
