Fayetteville Police will hold a press conference Thursday on unsolved rape cases

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Police Department is scheduled to announce new information on some unsolved rape cases dating back 10 years.

The rapes occurred along the northern portion of Ramsey Street between 2006 and 2008.

Fayetteville police said they're using new DNA technology to find the suspect or suspects.

The process can predict physical appearance and ancestry from unidentified DNA evidence.

Police were expected to reveal those findings at a press conference Thursday morning, but have rescheduled to an unspecified date.
