Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton held her first major rally in New York

NEW YORK (WTVD) -- Hillary Clinton turned a corner in her presidential campaign on Saturday.

Clinton held her first major speech ten weeks after she announced her run for the White House.

A large crowd showed up at Roosevelt Island in New York to hear Clinton talk about economic and foreign policy.

Clinton said as Secretary of State, she stood up to Vladimir Putin and was in the White House Situation Room the night Osama bin Laden was killed.

The speech also had lighter moments as Clinton rallied the crowd.

"Well, I may not not be the youngest candidate in this race, but I will be the youngest woman president in the history of the United States," Clinton proclaimed. "And one additional advantage, you won't see my hair turn white in the White House because I have been coloring it for years!"

Clinton wrapped her speech by saying she's been called many things, but a quitter isn't one of them.
