Nearly two months after investigators say he burned his wife and teen stepdaughter to death, a Lee County man has returned to North Carolina to face charges.

SANFORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Nearly two months after investigators say he burned his wife and teen stepdaughter to death, a Lee County man has returned to North Carolina to face charges.

Billy Jo McLean arrived to the Sanford Police Department early Saturday morning. McLean had refused extradition from Texas after a four-day manhunt in July.

McLean was charged with murdering his wife, Calandra, and stepdaughter, Toshanna.

After the alleged murder, McLean, 54, took off with his unsuspecting teen stepson, Tobias.

Tobias eventually found out about the murders via Facebook when the pair stopped in Oldham County, Texas, along their roadtrip.

A governor's warrant was issued for McLean's return. In addition to the murder charges, he faces charges for taking off from Sanford.
