Man arrested for fleeing police in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A man was arrested following a chase in Durham Thursday afternoon.

It ended in the 1500 block of Hyde Park Avenue.

Durham police said they tried to stop a driver and that person sped off -- almost hitting an officer in the process.

No one was hurt, but the driver ended up crashing into another car.

There's no word on his identity from police, but the man is charged with fleeing and eluding police as well as reckless driving.
