Man found dead behind Fayetteville business

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating a homicide after they found a man dead on Sunday morning.

Around 9:40 a.m. officers responded to a call of a dead male in the 300 block of Ray Avenue.

Police said he was found behind a business by people walking through the area.

His death was from a violent act, according to authorities.

The victim's name is being withheld until his family is contacted.
