Man found dead inside crashed car in Clinton

CLINTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Sampson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after they found a man dead inside a crashed car in Clinton on Friday.

Deputies responded to a call for gunshots in the area of Dogwood Acres on U.S. 701 just before midnight.

When they arrived they found a vehicle had crashed into a utility pole.

Inside was the body of Christopher Anjantre Wright, 20, from Clinton, according to authorities.
