Man killed by construction equipment near Four Oaks

FOUR OAKS, NC (WTVD) -- A man was killed in a construction accident in the 500 block of Reedy Creek Road northwest of Four Oaks Wednesday.

It happened just before 2 p.m.

Pictures from Chopper 11 showed a tractor flipped on its side.

The Johnston County Sheriff's Office identified the dead man as 74-year-old Charles Peterson - who lived on the property.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.
