Man killed in Fayetteville hit-and-run

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian Friday night.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Ramsey Street near Sherman Drive, near the VA Medical Center.

Stanford Lee Gray, 34, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died.

A vehicle matching the possible suspect vehicle was stopped not far from the location where Gray was hit. A person was taken into custody.

The driver was later identified as 43-year-old Franklin Harris.
