Serious crash in Raleigh
It happened at Old Falls of Neuse at Wakefield Pines Drive.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department is investigating a serious crash at Old Falls of Neuse at Wakefield Plantation Drive in Raleigh.

It happened just after 2 p.m. Monday.

Pictures from Chopper 11 HD showed a BMW was hit in the side by a pickup truck.

Police said the driver of the BMW, 73-year-old Patrick Gerard Mauro, was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck, Ryan Sharpe, 19, and passenger, Leandra Koscica, 18, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
