Man shot to death in Wilson, person arrested

WILSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Wilson Police Department says a man was shot to death Tuesday evening.

It happened just before 9 p.m. in the 500 block of Manchester Street.

Police officers arriving on the scene found 55-year-old Donnell Ray Williams with a gunshot wound and did first-aid until an ambulance arrived.

Williams was later pronounced dead at the Wilson Medical Center.

Detectives said they have charged Arthur Lee with murder.

Detectives said Williams and Lee knew each other.
