Man wanted in Raleigh murder captured in Florida

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A murder suspect that led police on a multiple-county chase early Sunday morning has been captured in Florida, the Raleigh Police Department said Wednesday.

Brandon Xavier Hill, 29, was wanted for the murder of Dwayne Garvey. Garvey, 27, was found shot to death at a Crabtree Valley Mall area hotel Friday. April Lynn Holland, 22, was also killed.

Hill was involved in a chase that began in Raleigh and ended at Bentwood Apartments on Junction Road.

According to police, Brittany Jenzell Hooks, 27, was driving the vehicle involved in the chase. She was arrested and charged with felony speeding to elude and taken to the Wake County Detention Center.

On Saturday, police arrested Seaga Edward Gillard, 28, and charged him with one count of murder in connection to the death of Holland.
