The outbound lanes of Raleigh's Capital Boulevard were temporarily closed in the 3400 block while police investigated a pedestrian accident Friday afternoon.

Shortly after noon, police were sent to a Capital Boulevard hotel to take a complaint about a man who had reportedly punched out a car window.

Upon arrival, the officers encountered 28-year-old Kendale Gerod Hill - who matched the description of the man involved.

Police say Hill fled on foot across Capital Boulevard and was hit by a car.

He was taken to WakeMed with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
