Overturned tractor trailer closes part of I-95 in Kenly

KENLY (WTVD) -- An accident involving a tractor trailer is blocking northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Truckstop Road in Kenly.

Emergency crews are at the scene. They said a truck carrying refrigerated corn lost its trailer in the road. A truck filled with chicken was also involved in the accident.

Images from Chopper11 HD showed the produce spilling out of the damaged truck.

Crews were also seen trying to clean up spilled fuel along the roadway.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol has set up an on-site detour, but drivers are advised to avoid the area.

All lanes of I-95 should reopen by 3 p.m.
