JORDAN LAKE (WTVD) -- There's some sad news about some victims of Thursday's storms.

Two eaglets slid off their nest at Jordan Lake.

The eagle camera captured one of the eaglets as it fell out. The other eaglet eventually fell as well.

One of the birds died, but the other survived the fall, and is now being examined by a local vet.

It will be transported, reportedly to the Carolina Raptor Center near Charlotte, for more treatment.

The deceased eaglet was turned over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department.

The birds were born last month.
