Four Cary High School students are accused of robbing two other young people outside of a Burger King

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Four Cary High School students are accused of robbing two other young people in Cary Wednesday morning.

Police said it happened on Walnut Street near the back entrance of a Burger King shortly before noon.

The Cary Police Department said two juvenile victims reported they were robbed at gunpoint of a phone and cash.

Responding officers spotted a group matching the descriptions of the suspects and detained them. The phone and cash was recovered.

Dajaun Speight, 17, Zaccai Matthews, 17, Joseph Curtis, 17, and Rahmeek Lewis, 16, are all charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.

Police said the weapon turned out to be some kind of air-powered pistol.

The teens are in jail under an $80,000 bond.
