A man was found dead in Wake Forest on Friday night

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Wake Forest that happened Friday night.

Authorities identified the victim as 27-year-old Glenn Tashaun Lee of Franklinton.

Police said they were called around 9:40 p.m. to the 400 block of N. Allen Avenue.

When they got there, they found Lee wounded. He was taken to WakeMed where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

"This is unusual," one resident told ABC11. "When was the last time something like this happened on North Allen? Nothing like this."

The resident grew up in the neighborhood. She did not want to share her name, but said she feels for the victim's family.

"I just feel sorry for the family really," the resident said. "My heart goes out to them."

Police said the believe Lee was targeted, although the motive was not immediately clear.
