Raleigh police make 14 DWI arrests at weekend checkpoint

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police made 14 arrests and recovered a stolen vehicle at a DWI checkpoint on Saturday.

Raleigh police and other law enforcement personnel from Wake County conducted the checkpoint.

The checkpoint was held between 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the 5000 block of Six Forks Road.

Police said there were 14 DWI arrests, five drug charges, two ABC law violations, and one recovered stolen vehicle.

32 law enforcement officers participated in the checking station.
