Raleigh man comes home to masked gunmen
He wasn't injured but had several shots fired at him

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- People living in one Southeast neighborhood are on edge after a frightening home invasion. A homeowner walked into his house to find a masked gunmen inside.

The victim, who is not being identified, had just gotten home Friday around 7:30 p.m. When he walked inside, he found two armed men inside wearing masks. The gunmen started firing shots.

"I don't know what's going on. They broke in my house," the victim explained to a 911 operator. "They're in the house now. They just shot me out of the house."

The victim was not hurt in any way, despite the gunfire. He was able to get out of the house safely and place the 911 call from a distance.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office told ABC11 the gunmen broke into the home and ransacked the place.

Neighbors heard the commotion and also reached out to authorities. One resident reports hearing 10 or more shots.

The gunmen took off running as deputies dispatched.

Authorities don't have anyone in custody right now.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with any information or that saw anything unusual in the area of the 5000 block of Royal Acres Drive is ask to call the Wake County Sheriff's Office at (919) 856-6911.
