Big reward for escaped inmate
Edward Moore is considered armed and very dangerous.

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office announced a $10,000 reward Friday above and beyond after Crimestoppers funding for information leading to the arrest and conviction of escaped inmate, Edward Moore.

And US Marshals are adding an additional $5,000 reward. That brings the total for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Moore to $15,000, plus the usual CrimeStoppers funding for the information.

An anonymous donor offered the $10,000 reward, the sheriff's office said.

Moore, who was in custody at the time, was seeking treatment at Cape Fear Valley Hospital on Wednesday when he assaulted a deputy and escaped by stealing a van.

Moore whose address is listed as 5007 Birch Road in Fayetteville was being held in connection with an armed robbery at the Bank of America in Hope Mills on December 7.

Moore is to be considered armed and very dangerous.
