Rocky Mount man charged with first-degree murder

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Nash County Sheriff's Office has charged a Rocky Mount man with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 31-year-old who was killed early Saturday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 3000 block of Como Drive.

Authorities say Nicholas Ray Daniels shot Tony Pittman during an altercation at Daniels' home.

Investigators say Pittman and Daniels knew each other.

Daniels is currently being held at the Nash County Jail without bond.
