School bus in Durham involved in crash on Umstead Road

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A bus coming from Riverside High School in Durham was involved in a crash on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on Umstead Road at Inverness Drive.

Authorities said the bus was making a passenger stop when the collision occurred. A driver and four students were on board the bus. Officials said neither the bus driver nor the students were injured.

Highway Patrol was on the scene. Troopers said the driver of the car that hit the bus sustained injuries, but it's unknown how serious those injuries are.

The driver of the car was taken to Duke Hospital.
