Spring Lake bank robbery suspect arrested

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities in the Sandhills said they caught the man responsible for holding up a bank in Spring Lake.

Fayetteville police arrested James Lilly on Saturday and charged him with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Police said Lilly walked into the PNC Bank at the Skyland Shopping Plaza on Wednesday, handed the teller a note demanding money, and fled the scene.

Police found Lilly at the Mobile Manor trailer park off Johnson Street in Fayetteville.
