Suspect arrested in shooting outside Fayetteville BBQ restaurant

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police said they arrested a suspect in the shooting May 10 outside the Smokey Bones restaurant near the Cross Creek Mall.

Terekus Derrell Rogers, 34, was taken into custody Sunday and processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.

When officers responded May 10, they found a 21-year-old man shot in the parking lot. Police say Rogers fled the scene.

Rogers has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, discharging a weapon into occupied property causing serious bodily injury, robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
