Suspect injured trying to elude Durham police

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A suspect was seriously injured Saturday while trying to escape from Durham police.

Officers said the incident began when they responded to a breaking-and-entering call at a home on Oak Drive, which is near Forest Hills Park.

Officers found two suspects inside when they arrived.

Police said both tried to run away, but one of the suspects fell into a ditch and broke his leg. He was taken into custody and then to the hospital.

At last report, police were still looking for the second suspect.
