Three charged in series of Moore County break-ins

CARTHAGE (WTVD) -- Moore County Chief Deputy Jerrell Seawell announced three more arrests made in connection with a recent series of breaking and entering cases in the Highfalls area of Moore County.

On May 20, deputies arrested Danny Ray Kennedy, 41, of the 200 block of Hussey Road in Robbins. Kennedy was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony possession of stolen goods.

Kennedy was placed in the Moore County Detention Center with a $6,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for June 14 in Moore County District Court, Carthage.

The same day, deputies arrested Brittani Ann Nicholson, 23, of the 2900 block of River Road in Robbins. She was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony possession of stolen goods.

Nicholson was placed in the Moore County Detention Center with a $2,500 secured bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for June 14 in Moore County District Court.

On May 23, deputies charged Clifford Jacob Romero, 31, of the 300 block of Putnam Church Road in Carthage. Romero was served with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny, two counts of felony possession of stolen goods, and one count of failure to appear issued by Moore County District Court.

The Shallotte Police Department has also charged Romero with one count of felony possession of heroin and one count of misdemeanor simple possession of Klonopin, at the time of his arrest in Brunswick County.

Romero is in the Brunswick County Detention Center with an $18,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is set for June 16 in Moore County District Court.
