State Employees Credit Union robbed in Raleigh
A least two robbers hit the business on Centennial Parkway Tuesday afternoon

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department has charged two men who allegedly robbed a State Employees Credit Union on Centennial Parkway just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The men allegedly hit a female teller in the head with a hammer during the holdup. The woman was taken to WakeMed for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The other robber had a handgun.

Shortly after the robbery, police stopped a vehicle and detained two people for questioning.

Now, 25-year-old Jullian Cortez Herring and 22-year-old Fabian Leigh Evans are charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. In addition, Evans was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
