ARCOLA, N.C. (WTVD) -- Warren County Sheriff Johnny Williams said Thursday that a man and a teenager have been arrested in the shooting death of a man in his Arcola home last weekend.

Daniel Perez Martinez, 31, was murdered in his bedroom just before 9 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of N.C. Highway 43.

Deputies and agents with the State Bureau of Identification executed search warrants Wednesday at two homes in Hollister, North Carolina and arrested 24-year-old Rance Jerome Richardson and 17-year-old Luchano Jared Johnston.

Both were being held without bond on first-degree murder charges.

Sheriff Williams said "significant" evidence was found during the search of the Hollister homes.
