KEMAH, TX -- A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter that struck a bird Thursday night made an emergency landing in the parking lot of a Target store in Texas.
The pilots landed around 8 p.m. in the parking lot of a Target in Kemah.
Authorities say the helicopter had just finished checking out possible damage of an unmanned oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico. It was flying back when it hit a bird and decided to land as a precaution. There's video of the emergency landing from comeandtakeitfishing.com/gforce motorsports Pearland, Texas.
Four people, including two pilots, were aboard the chopper and they're all OK.
The chopper was to remain in the parking lot until Friday morning, when a crew was scheduled to check it out.
