Weeks after Hurricane Matthew hit, Wake County has been approved for disaster-related food and nutrition benefits.

Wake County residents may qualify for disaster nutrition benefits for a one-month period if they suffered losses from Hurricane Matthew.

Those applying for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) must provide proof of identity along with proof of residency.

Once eligibility is determined, benefits will be issued within 72 hours.
