DURHAM (WTVD) -- As the gas shortage continues to affect drivers in North Carolina, a common question is, 'Where can I find gas?'

GasBuddy has activated its Gasoline Availability Tracker for drivers in North Carolina and 5 other states.

Drivers can also search and report fuel availability on the GasBuddy app for iOS and Android.

The shortage was caused by a 250,000-gallon leak in the Colonial Pipeline, a major supply line for the East Coast.

On Monday, officials said a bypass was completed and the fuel line will be restarted Wednesday. Gov. McCrory said the shortage should only last a few more days.
