Woman attacked in Fayetteville, police say

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are investigating an attack on a woman late Saturday night.

Police said the attack happened near the area of Robeson Street and the Levy Drive corridors.

Officers said the woman was outsider her home around 11 p.m. when she was attacked and physically assaulted. According to authorities, she was knocked unconscious and woke up hours later a few hundred feet from where she was attacked.

She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
